A walk around the Site of Anglo Saxon and Medieval Kingston
14th, 20th and 26th September 2017
Dates: Thursday 14th, Wednesday 20th and Tuesday 26th September 2017
Meeting time/point: 9.30 a.m. outside Kingston Railway Station.
Cost: 50p Admin. fee payable on the
day Once you have done this walk you will
probably never look at Kingston the same way again! This walk will start from outside Kingston Railway Station. It will look specifically at the original site of Anglo Saxon and Medieval Kingston and what is still visible today.
Reference will be made to some of the historic buildings and structures and will show how the topography of central Kingston still reveals the original site.
The walk will be led by John King and will take about two hours. It will finish on the riverside by Kingston Bridge. The climbing of some steps is involved.
Each walk will be limited to 20 people. This and the early start is to make it easier to get around central Kingston.
