SECOND SHARED LEARNING PROJECT AT THE MANOR GARDENS CENTRE

5 May - Introductory Session at the Centre

Changing Patterns in Inner City Health Care Provision - The proposed project will be a sequel to an earlier U3A project, and will cover the period after the Second World War.  

The Manor Gardens Centre,  a charity providing health and community services in Islington, was founded in 1913 by a group of women philanthropists and initially intended for women.   It was called The North Islington School for Mothers  and opened for one day a week in a Mission Hall.  The project will appeal to those interested in local history who enjoy archive research and like working in a team.

Thursday 25 March   KINGSTON U3A Orchestra Launch
KU3A is launching a brand new orchestra from 9.30am to 12.30pm,  at the United Reformed Church, Eden Street, Kingston KT1 1HZ.

Conductor David Ward, Cost £10.
