We have been exploring the 6 noble grapes: Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot as well as having evenings looking at other wines which interested us like a rose evening in the summer and lesser well-known wine producing countries like Japan, China, Belgium etc.

At the end of our exploration of the 6 noble grapes we had a blind tasting and quiz evening all about those noble grapes.

Due to the lock down we have now moved to meeting online. This will be a very different experience but we want to carry on learning about wines. We had already drawn up a timetable of evenings for 2020 and that included amongst others, the appreciation of Italian wines and the paired foods, the appreciation of Rioja wines and the paired foods, te appreciation of fortified wines and the paired foods.
