Surrey Network Study Days June to Nov 2024

Surrey Network: Study Days Study days have been arranged in the coming months. Time: 10am-4pm (registration and login begin at 9.30am) Dates: See programme details below. Place: You can attend in person at the Menuhin Hall, Stoke d’Abernon or join online via Zoom. Cost (including tea/coffee biscuits): £12 for members and £15 for guests attending in person. Attendees should bring their own packed lunch. £5 for those attending via Zoom.

Most of these opportunities are presented by members themselves; sharing their knowledge or skills with others across the movement. We also have a wide range of talks on offer from well-known speakers and organisations.

18th-20th July -U3A National Festival – University of York

   Join us for u3a Festival 24

The u3a movement is holding its first ever Festival in 2024, 18 – 20 July, where members will be running a wide variety of activities – talks, sporting events, musical entertainment and workshops which will make this u3a national festival something to remember.

How can I take part?

Venue

u3a Festival 24 will take place in the beautiful city of York over 3 days and will be held at the University of York based around their exhibition centre.

Book your accommodation

The accommodation on campus is now fully booked. York is a major tourist city and there is lots of alternative accommodation in the southeast of the city where the university is situated. Online booking agents have Airbnb options available together with a range of guest houses and hotels across the price range.

How much are tickets?

Tickets are not yet available to buy but the cost of the attending festival will be as follows:

  • Day 1, Thursday 18 July – £25 including buffet supper
  • Day 2, Friday 19 July – £10 for the full day
  • Day 3, Saturday 20 July – £5 for a half day
  • Full festival to include all 3 days and a buffet supper on Day 1 – £35

18 – 20 July – U3A Festival 2024 – University of York

u3a Festival 2024: 18-20 July u3a’s first national festival will run over three days at the University of York. There’ll be a wide variety of activities, talks, sporting events, musical entertainment and workshops. The organisers are keen to strengthen their musical offering so, if any of Kingston u3a’s singers or musicians would like to participate, please email festival@u3a.org.uk.
