Still got it! A photographic project to emphasise the economic and social value of older people By Mike Longhurst FRPS

Are you over 70, still working, self-employed, or still taking part in interesting sports or pass-times? If so, I’d really like to hear from you and include you in my study, which initially will be for possible publication in the Royal Photographic Society’s Documentary Journal, but hopefully also an exhibition. We constantly hear about the value of all sections of the community, but somehow we wrinklies seem to get forgotten and undervalued.

I’d like to do something about that. Plumbers, electricians, brain surgeons, volunteers, rock musicians, or simply people taking part in sports and pass-times at an age perhaps many might not expect. We all contribute, so please drop me a line and let me photograph you doing whatever it is you do. Over 80s and 90s especially welcome! I’m 77, based in the Epsom area and, if you’ve still got it, I look forward to hearing from you!
